The DNR administers the grant program and ReLeaf Michigan provides tree planting, project coordination and technical assistance for planting projects.
Mayor Ken Siver and other elected official will join city staff and residents in planting a crabapple tree in front of City Hall, rain or shine, following a brief ceremony.
Spring is right around the corner, and ReLeaf Michigan is excited to get out and start planting trees!
The funding will make it possible for the City of Royal Oak to plant 100 trees, remove invasive species, make ecosystem improvements, and add park amenities at the Royal Oak Arboretum.
