Michigan Transgender Health Fair in Ferndale Sept. 24 (Event Page) Ferndale, MI – The Michigan Transgender Health Fair is coming up on Saturday September 24 from 1-4pm at Affirmations LGBT Community Center in Ferndale , Michigan. Each winner has the sign placed on their property, and will be presented with a certificate at the Sept. 26, 2011 Ferndale City Council meeting.
Organized by Transgender Michigan, the event is large but simple. They brought in the burgers and dogs while guest brought a side dish to pass. A small auction and a jar for donations raised money to cover the cost.
“Every team takes on a collaborative personality,” Ryan said. “This team of all the teams I remember has required the least training and direction. They banded together from the beginning and I admire their long term vision.”
