On August 4, 2012, Detroit Tigers, Starting Pitcher, Max Scherzer and Biking for Baseball collaborated to host a baseball clinic during the 2012 Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metropolitan Detroit Annual Summer Picnic, held at Martin Road Park for the third consecutive year.

It was impossible during the games to not be present. The moment you stopped paying attention you were taken advantage of. You always had to be aware of your surroundings and how to use them. In life, being aware has a lot to do with success. Opportunities come and go all the time. Sometimes, they come in major batches. In order to recognize them, you have to be present in life. This is a step that many people forget about and it’s critical.
Eleven Ferndale Wrestling Club athletes traveled to Battle Creek March 25-27, 2011 to compete in the Michigan Youth Wrestling Association State Championships. The club is for boys aged 4-16 from Ferndale and surrounding cities, with 45 kids on the team this year.
