It is only a few 100 years ago that women were permitted to perform onstage. We follow in the tradition of women in male roles: Sarah Bernhardt as Hamlet (1900’s) and more recently Pat Carroll portrayed Falstaff to critical acclaim (1990’s). So too, our production breaks with theatre’s long standing history: women are cast in the roles depicted by men, Hollywood producers.”
Ferndale High School’s Student Enterprise Theatre presents Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, beginning next week. The performances will take place at Ferndale High School, 881 Pinecrest, and will be performed by two casts – the Gold cast and Blue cast. This murder-mystery show features a small cast, who-done-it plot, and will be fun for the whole family.
Spring is in the air and Ferndale Recreation is ready to launch one of it’s most popular team activities, soccer! The Little Kickers league is for toddlers through three years old. Then there are teams for Under 6, Under 8, and Under 10. The coaches and referees are volunteers, mainly parents.
