There were multi-colored chew toys made of fleece, and ceramic dogs tags available. Over 100 items were sold during the four-hour event. They expected sales to be $200, but a generous anonymous donor made their till double by the end of the day…

Waggs and Wishes Animal Rescue, located at 521 E. Cambourne, has many dogs and cats that need fostering and/or permanent adoption. The organization stepped up in 2010 after the City eliminated animal control services, and has been saving lives ever since. It all started with one man wanting to do something good.

David Rosentrater of University of Phoenix found Waggs and Wishes and Angie Potter on Facebook and decided that is the organization he was going to help out. He teamed up with Neil Hunter, another Enrollment Counselor at University or Phoenix, and came up with a contest that would net Waggs and Wishes the haul of a lifetime!
