Ferndale Veteran Reflects on Lifetime of War, Possibility for Peace
Remember when you could meet your family as you walked off the plane at the airport. Hopefully that day will happen again soon.

Each year on Nov. 11 at 11:11am members of the Ferndale Memorial Association, Ferndale Elks, Hangin’ with the Heroes and other residents gather at the Memorial Mall on Livernois to pay homage to United States Veterans, and those of allied nations as well.
Ferndale Recognizes its Veterans
Each year The Veteran’s Memorial Association hosts a Veteran’s Day Observance at Memorial Park on Livernois. The service recognizes those who have served in the armed forces. The memorial bell is rung at 11am, a prayer said along with the Pledge of Allegiance, and speeches and poems read in honor of those who served.
