Downtown Ferndale businesses have decked their storefronts for the holidays, a season kicked off by the DDA’s Third Thursday “Light the Town” event. DDA volunteers gave away hot coco while the Chris Brass Band played carols on the West 9 Mile sidewalks.
Last weekend he journeyed around his neighborhood to appreciate the holiday lights. “Most are from the west side of Woodward from Fielding in the south to Woodland in the north and Pinecrest in the West. A few are on the east side of Woodward but not many,” Baron said.
One of the season’s first chilly nights was made merry by the Downtown Ferndale’s Third Thursday Light the Night Event. Businesses along 9 Mile and Woodward got decked in a way they haven’t for years, with an abundance of lights and festive window displays.
