Eleven Communities Get Oakland County Parks Grants

SEMCOG, the Southeast Michigan Council of Governments, has awarded $900,000 to 10 local projects through the Green Stormwater Infrastructure Implementation Program.
MPA invites Michigan licensed shelters, as well as nonprofit rescue and animal welfare organizations, to apply for any or all grant awards.
The MI Impact Grant program supports Gov. Whitmer’s MI New Economy plan that set a goal of lifting 100,000 families out of working poverty during the next five years.
Projects must occur in a Michigan Municipal League member community. League member communities include nearly every city and village, as well as multiple urban townships in Michigan.
The Carbon Reduction Program (CRP) is a federally funded program to improve air quality by reducing carbon dioxide from on-road vehicle sources.
The Ferndale Community Foundation and Ferndale Pride recently awarded over $29,000 in grants to various community groups and organizations.

The Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan announced grants totaling $14 million in the third quarter to support organizations primarily in southeast Michigan that are focused on the arts, civic life, education, environment, health, human services and youth.
The American Rescue Plan Act established the Restaurant Revitalization Fund (RRF) to provide funding to help restaurants and other eligible businesses keep their doors open.
The grants can be used for eligible food, utility, property taxes and personal care expenses.
The grants, which ranged from $4,000 to $500,000, will help the organizations restore vital services and programs for Oakland County residents such as food distribution, shelter, health care and financial assistance that were reduced or eliminated because of the pandemic.
