The Ferndale Seniors really know how to cook, and on Monday, Oct. 29 they showed off their talent at a Senior Taste Fest held at the Ferndale Public Library. The Taste Fest was to help promote their cookbook and the most recent addendum.
Jeannie Davis, longtime Ferndale resident and President of the Ferndale Seniors, is going to be on the hot seat on Friday November 19th in a local-celebrity roast to benefit The Ferndale Community Foundation and the Ferndale Seniors.
The Ferndale Seniors held a Taste Fest fundraiser at the Ferndale Public Library on Oct.27, 2010 to celebrate the release of their new Senior Cook Book. There were tables of food and a chance to talk about the recipes provided by Ferndale’s most active elders.
October 27, 2010 is a big one for The Ferndale Seniors. First they’ll be getting a visit from Mayor Craig Covey, at the annual Senior Town Hall Meeting at 11am at the Kulick Center (1201 Livernois). Then in the evening they will be celebrating the launch of their first ever Ferndale Seniors Cookbook with a Taste Fest from 5:00pm to 7:00pm, at the Ferndale Public Library (222 E. 9 Mile)…(read more)
