Of the 28 public districts in the county, the only one to gain students was Clarkston which added 10.

4th and 5th graders visited 10 stations that simulated the experience of many disabilities and the challenges that some face.
Through travel, students were able to change their outlook on the inter connectivity of the world we live in and shared these life-changing experiences.
Ferndale Color Guard brought home another State Championship title this week, their 3rd State Championship since triumphantly returning in 2018.
There was so much laughter, fun, and learning!
Students in the program come from Berkley, Clawson, Ferndale, Lamphere, Madison, Oak Park and Pontiac Districts.
Next year, they plan to present together!
Students appreciated the impressionist paintings by the 19th century Dutch painter, as well as the other masterpieces on display at the DIA.
It was a power hour of making connections, cooperating, and using creativity.

The candidates will then have a final interview before the Board of Education on the evening of Wednesday, June 15th starting at 5pm in the Ferndale High School Media Center. Please note that these interviews are open to the public.

During Dr. Bazzi’s tenure as Superintendent, Ferndale Schools has become a nationally recognized school district for the collective work she has led in concert with our community and Board of Education.
Recently Mrs. Carp’s 5th grade class took a virtual field trip to the DIA and learned about collage and assemblages.
It devolved into LaLone questioning whether black students are oppressed and arguing that the Civil War ended oppression, as well as him saying he was allowed to say the n-word.
