The Ferndale Community Foundation and Ferndale Pride recently awarded over $29,000 in grants to various community groups and organizations.

The Ferndale Elk’s presents their classic euchre tournament. Win money while helping Ferndale Pride continue its mission of staying free to the public while giving back to Ferndale Charities.
The event will be held from 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Sunday, August 14 at Green Acres Park , 620 W. Woodward Heights Blvd., Hazel Park, MI 48030. The celebration is free to the public.
But such events are becoming more popular as communities of all sizes see the value in being welcoming of LGBTQ+ neighbors. “You are changing the narrative that the only way to come out in a small town is to get out.”
Totals are not in yet for this year, but with packed streets leading into sunset, groups at the event reported much success.

On April 10 teams competed to answer clues that led to places around town, including famous Ferndale landmarks like the hill at Martin Road Park, the skate park, the mural at Blumz by JRDesigns, and the dog park.
On Saturday April 10 at 2pm, get out and have some fun while giving back to Ferndale Pride.
Each year Foundation grants funds to local non-profits. Over the last 9 years, Foundation has distributed more than $200,000 to area organizations.
