“I could not have planned my life out like this, even if I tried,” Coulter told the crowd of friends, fellow officials, and family…
The Ferndale Area Chamber Commerce hosted a Candidate’s Forum on Oct. 12, 2011. Business owners came together to meet the candidates for Mayor and City Council and find out what they had to say about interacting with the business community.
As if the string of coincidences in Dave Coulter’s life with those of former Mayor Craig Covey’s are not enough, the current Mayor can now add the unsettling experience of being victim of a home invasion to the list. Covey was burglarized just over two years ago when he was serving as Mayor, and Coulter’s home was similarly trespassed upon last week.
Officials at various levels of government are having events to reach out to Ferndale residents this month. State Representative Ellen Cogen Lipton, State Senator Vincent Gregory and Ferndale Mayor Dave Coulter all have upcoming events scheduled.
Dave Coulter was sworn in as the 17th Mayor of the City of Ferndale at the City Council meeting of Feb. 14, 2011. He was surrounded by supporters from throughout the community, including previous Mayors Pamela McCullough (1994-1996), Charles (Chuck) Goedert (1996-2002), Robert (Bob) Porter (2002-2008), Craig Covey (2008-2010), and Kate Baker who served as Mayor Pro Tem during the weeks following Covey’s resignation.
