Tabatha Morris of Hazel Park left with a smile on her freshly-glossed lips. “I’ve never walked away from a makeup session feeling like this,” she said, referring to the positive glow she got from being the model at the Ferndale Career Center’s “Six Steps to Fabulous” class held on Jan. 20, 2012.
“Whether it’s acting, dancing or public speaking, it’s all an exercise in risk taking, and in being able to be open and present in the moment of the performance,” Tann said to the class of eight. Attendees were ladies of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds and variation in experience. Each one left with more confidence and personalized suggestions for improving the way they move and share their bodies in the space that they are in.
The classes are a new way for the creative experts who use Paper Street to share knowledge about whatever they do that is useful. On Thursday, Dec. 8, 2011 it will be Todd Ethridge teaching “Intro to Motorcycle Maintenance, Care & Winterizing Your Bike.” Ethridge is the owner of McBee’s Motorcycles, located in Paper Street. The class runs from 6:30pm-8:30pm and costs $30. The class is appropriate for beginners and even though with years of experience can benefit from a refresher and tips from a pro.
