Unanswered Questions in the ICE Contract Controversy

Due to apparent inconsistencies, The Ferndale 115 News decided to look further into the claim of the cancellation happening on October 1st. To begin with, Meier cited The November 3rd article as “the final straw.” Secondly, Warnick campaigned throughout the month of October on the benefits of the contract, and never once mentioned the cancellation at the Policy meeting or Board meetings that took place in October.

Life Coaches Inspire Ladies to Simplify their Closets

A common New Year’s Resolution is to simplify life and reduce clutter. It’s one of those things that is easier said than done. But for folks in the Ferndale area, there is help.

Recently four area life coaches held a “The Art of Getting Dressed Made Easy” workshop at the Ferndale Public Library. Each presenter has a slightly differently specialty, but all can help add clarity to your life and to your closet.

2012 Holiday Light Award Winners

Each December, The Ferndale Beautification Commission takes nominations and selects the winners of the Holiday Light Awards. One winner from each quadrant of the city is selected, plus one business. Earlier this week Beautification Commission Chairperson Peggy Snow delivered letters to the homeowners and invited them to the first City Council meeting in January, where they will be presented with their certificates.
