Paint Creek Cider Mill stays open year round, serving up meals both onsite and to go, as well as offering an array of Michigan-made snacks and products.
The Museum is now open to the public Fridays and Saturdays from noon until 3:00 p.m.
The wings are more opaque than other monarchs as well, due to lack of pigment, adding to the effect

The Van Tassel Pedestrian Bridge is named for former Orion Township Supervisor JoAnn Van Tassel, whose leadership helped Orion to develop in a way that respected the natural beauty of the area.
These challenges are worth it though as the trail leads over ravines and includes a couple scenic outlook points.
The park is a tracking place for hawk migration, and a sculpture includes pictures of the various birds one might see and the time of year they pass through.
Innovation Hills is a dynamic park growing before the eyes of it’s visitors, and I look forward to doing an update next year as more of it is completed.

The Shiawassee River Water Trail is eighty-eight miles in length stretching from Holly, MI to Chesaning, MI, crossing through four counties in mid-Michigan.
Part of the trail is in a forested area so there is a great opportunity for families to enjoy nature during their visit.
From there it was easy to spot details that make Downtown Farmington unique, especially now with their Halloween-themed Grand Raven Festival…
But a Wednesday morning walk at Woodland Hills Nature Park in Farmington Hills gave this reporter an up close look at a red tail hawk hunting in the forest.
Hazel Park, MI – Hazel Park is a place with plenty to see, and it was a joy to get some steps in along John R., 10 Mile, and 9 Mile and some of the neighborhoods in between.
Even after several visits there is still much to explore in this 4,461 acre oasis.
Downtown Rochester has the best of two worlds – a thriving shopping district with eclectic locally owned shops and restaurants, plus a serene bit of nature with the Rochester River Walk and the Paint Creek Trail.
Spotting details on walks is a great way to give your brain and your body a temporary break from the worries of contemporary life.
