The Shiawassee River Water Trail is eighty-eight miles in length stretching from Holly, MI to Chesaning, MI, crossing through four counties in mid-Michigan.

In the race for Oakland County Sheriff, incumbent Michael Bouchard, a Republican, is running for re-election. Democrat Vincent Gregory is also on the ballot.
In the Nov. 3 election, voters in Oakland County will chose between Democrat Karen McDonald and Republican Lin Goetz for Prosecutor.
The candidates for Oakland County Treasurer are Democrat Robert Wittenberg and Republican Joe Kent.
In the race for State Representative of the 51st District, Incumbent Mike Mueller, a Republican, is being challenged by Democrat Brad May.
Voters in Holly Township (which also includes the Village of Holly) can vote for up to 7 people to serve on the Holly Parks Board. There are six on the ballot and four running as write-in candidates.
