This class lists good and bad trees, why you should choose one tree over another. It also explains micro-climate environmental conditions. Finally, it will discuss oak wilt, a devastating disease to oak trees.

The free event, sponsored by Women Confronting Racism, will explore the intersection of race, racism, and health disparities in the state of Michigan.
“Workplace outbreaks are increasing along with the state’s community numbers,” said Director of COVID-19 Workplace Safety Sean Egan.
To be eligible, an organization must be a non-profit with tax-exempt status, be physically located in Oakland County and provide most of its services to county residents.

In the race for Congress in the 8th District, the candidates are incumbent Elissa Slotkin who is a Democrat, Republican Paul Junge, and Libertarian Joe Hartman.

The Shiawassee River Water Trail is eighty-eight miles in length stretching from Holly, MI to Chesaning, MI, crossing through four counties in mid-Michigan.
Key focus areas are educational attainment, mobility, digitizing manufacturing and supporting small businesses.
Inmates will also have complete access to a library on the tablets which will include education, substance abuse resources, cognitive behavior programming, as well as a complete law library. Having access to this programming, has been proven to dramatically reduce recidivism, change inmate behavior, and better prepare inmates when released back into the community.
Public Health Nurses will visit residents’ home during a designated appointment time. Nurses can provide individuals 65 years and older a senior higher dose or regular flu shot.
For the Holly Township Library Board, there is one candidate on the ballot, plus eight write-in candidates for six positions.
In the race for Oakland County Executive there are three candidates.
In the race for Oakland County Clerk and Register of Deeds, incumbent Lisa Brown, a Democrat, is running for re-election. Republican Tina Barton is also on the ballot.
In the race for Oakland County Sheriff, incumbent Michael Bouchard, a Republican, is running for re-election. Democrat Vincent Gregory is also on the ballot.
