Holly continued its annual tradition of hosting a Memorial Day parade and as usual it was quite the community event.
Scouts across Oakland County honored those who made the ultimate sacrifice this Memorial Day weekend, carrying out multiple service projects and serving as flag details in parades across southeast Michigan.

The winners and honorable mentions will receive cash prizes from a $10,000 contest fund provided by Flagstar Bank and will have their art displayed in the Oakland County Treasurer’s Office for a year and on the website along with all the entries.

“Protecting your dog against rabies also protects your family and neighbors,” said Bob Gatt, Oakland County Animal Shelter and Pet Adoption Center manager. “We don’t want the cost of the rabies vaccine to be a barrier for anyone getting a dog license.”
The group is based in Ann Arbor, but has planted trees in many local communities, including Oak Park, Royal Oak, Rochester Hills, Novi, Pontiac, Clarkston, Lake Orion and others.

Our community’s investment in our Bronchos will also help us continue providing a safe, nurturing and welcoming learning environment that helps prepare all students for bright futures.
These grants will assist municipalities with planning, preliminary engineering/design and construction costs directly related to local park improvement and trail projects.
Grant awards will be announced in August, and projects must be completed by May 31, 2023.
