The Ferndale Public Schools Eagles Pledge is hosting its first fundraiser on Saturday, October 22, 2011. The University of Michigan Men’s Glee Club subgroup, the Friars, are performing on the Ferndale High School auditorium stage (881 Pinecrest) at 7:30 pm. This is a family-friendly concert, and includes an opening act by the Ferndale High School choirs.

The 2011 Ferndale High School Homecoming Dance was memorialized by student filmmaker Natalie Berger, who manages her own brand PyxisFILMS. Berger previously created a film about the student production of Oalahoma!, as well as several other videos about things she and her friends get to experience as Ferndale High School students.

Moore began with an overview of the current financial situation of the USPS. First, he stated for those who were unaware of the fact that the USPS receives no tax dollars but must generate revenue to keep itself in business. He then proceeded with some statistics:

Firefighters from the Ferndale Fire Department blocked off the street at Pinecrest for a neighborhood fire truck party. The party was purchased collectively by three families on the block, at a silent auction for Drayton Avenue Co-op Preschool.
