“Suicide is a major public health issue, but it is preventable,” said George Miller, Director of Oakland County Department of Health and Human Services. “It is important for everyone to recognize the warning signs and risk factors for suicide to prevent the loss of lives.”

Ferndale Detective Brendan Moore is the finalist in a National Anthem Singing Contest being held by Comerica Bank, with a chance to sing in front of an upcoming Detroit Tiger’s Game.
The prize also includes a Ticket package and a $10,000 grant for the Ferndale Police if Moore wins.
