Oak Park Police Investigating Early Morning Death of Two Teens

Oak Park, MI – Oak Park Public Safety dispatch received multiple reports of gunshots at approximately 4:48 a.m. Monday in a residential area near Coolidge Highway, south of Nine Mile Road.
Officers arrived within minutes and located two victims inside the home. An 18-year-old woman and a 19-year-old man were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Oak Park Public Safety Investigation Bureau is conducting a full investigation. No arrests have been made.
Two individuals known to investigators were transported to a local hospital and are listed in stable condition. Oak Park Public Safety is working in collaboration with the Oakland County Crime Scene Analysis Unit.
“This senseless act of violence and disregard for human life will not be tolerated in our community,” said City Manager Erik Tungate. “We are dedicating every available resource to this investigation and are committed to bringing those responsible to justice. If anyone has information, we urge them to come forward.”
The investigation remains active, and no additional information is available at this time.
