Aug 4 Ballot: Holly Township Library Millage Proposal
Holly, MI – Voters in Holly Township, including Holly Village, have a millage on the Aug. 4 ballot. Here is the ballot language:
Holly Township Library Millage Proposal Shall Holly Township, Oakland County, Michigan, be authorized to levy a millage annually in an amount not to exceed 1.31 mills ($1.31 per each $1,000 of taxable value), of which 1.2530 mills is a renewal of the previously authorized millages that expired in 2025 and .057 mill is new additional millage to restore the millage rate lost as a result of the Headlee Amendment millage reductions, against all taxable property in the Township for a period of four (4) years, 2026 through 2029, inclusive, to provide funds for operating, maintaining, and equipping the Holly Township Library and for all other library purposes authorized by law, including capital improvements? The estimate of the revenue the Township will collect if the millage is approved and levied in the first year of levy (2026) is approximately $660,000. The revenue from this millage levy will be disbursed to the Holly Township Library.
