Keego Harbor Seeks Applications for City Council Vacancy Following Rob Kalman’s Resignation
(Crystal A. Proxmire, May 27, 2026)
Keego Harbor, MI – Keego Harbor officials are seeking letters of intent and applications to fill a council vacancy due to the resignation of Rob Kalman, who left council due to moving out of the city.
“So like everything …things come to an end,” Kalman said. “I’m moving – still in Oakland County – but you need to live in the city if you’re on the city’s elected legislative board. That’s it. Nothing crazy just a great opportunity came up and I acted on it. Time to spend some time focusing on myself, but I know that Keego Harbor is in good hands. I’ve made some wonderful friends here and I won’t be a stranger.”
The City of Keego Harbor has put out the call for applications, posting “The City Council is seeking letters of intent and application for persons interested in filling a vacant City Council Seat until the next Regular City Election to be held November 3, 2026. Letters of intent and applications should be emailed to: manager@keegoharbor.org or dropped off at City Hall by 4:00 P.M., June 10, 2026. City Council will review letters of intent and applications, may conduct interviews on June 16, 2026, at Study Session and will vote to fill the vacancy at the June 18, 2026, City Council Meeting. Please contact City Hall with questions at (248) 682-1930 Ext. 5, or by email at manager@keegoharbor.org.”
