Madison Heights Hazel Park Chamber Welcomes New Director Jim Pool
(Crystal A. Proxmire, May 19, 2026)
Hazel Park, Madison Heights, MI – The Madison Heights Hazel Park (MHHP) Chamber of Commerce has a new executive director – Jim Pool.
Pool is a pastor who previously led Renaissance Vineyard Church in Ferndale. After serving at Renaissance Vineyard for four years, Pool and his wife Megan began a more one-on-one style of ministry, meeting people in their homes for faith, mentorship, and spiritual guidance.
He’s bringing his ability to connect with others to the Madison Heights and Hazel Park business communities, taking on the leadership role of an organization tasked with providing “events, resources, and real connections that help local businesses grow.”
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to come alongside out business leaders in these two communities to help them so that the cities can flourish,” Pool said. “Small businesses are critical to a community’s well-being.”
So is working together. “Royal Oak, Hazel Park, Madison Heights, Ferndale, Oak Park are all interconnected. It’s not like we all do everything just in our own small town,” he said. “With the Chamber, it’s baked in that it’s two cities trying to be better together. Madison Heights is exciting. I love the diversity and the different cultures. And Hazel Park is a fertile ground with all this potential from growth.”
Currently the Chamber has more than 140 members. The Chamber offers business exposure, networking events, referrals, marketing support, workshops and learning opportunities, and discounts and perks among members.
Pool and other Chamber members will have a booth at the Paradise Eve celebration on May 30 from 5-9pm at Civic Center Park in Madison Heights. The event showcases Asian culture.
