Clawson Interviewing Three Applicants for Vacant Council Seat

Clawson, MI – Following the resignation of councilperson Heather Rinkevich in early April, Clawson City Council put out a call for applications to fill the vacancy. The selected appointee will be expected to serve until the next Regular City Election November 2, 2027, at which election a successor shall be elected for the unexpired term of the person whose office the vacancy occurs as stated in the Clawson Charter Sec.4.29.
The candidates being considered are Adam Duberstein, Jennifer Burney, and Glenn Shepard. The three candidates will be interviewed by Council at a Special City Council Meeting on Monday, beginning at 6:30pm. The agenda allots half an hour for each candidate to interview, followed by discussion and recommendation for appointment. The special meeting takes place at Clawson City Hall, 425 N. Main Street.
