Waterford School District Launches Five-Year Strategic Plan
(WSD, April 18, 2026)
Waterford, MI – The Waterford School District Board of Education and administration are proud to announce the official launch of a new five-year strategic plan. This comprehensive framework serves as a roadmap for the district’s future, grounded in an updated Mission, Vision and core Beliefs.
The strategic plan is organized into five critical goal areas: Academics & Programs; Learning Environment & Culture; Communications & Community Engagement; Talent Management & Leadership; and Operations. In addition to long-term goals, the plan transparently outlines specific priority objectives for the first year of implementation within each focus area. These objectives will be updated annually.
The development of the plan follows several months of intensive outreach. District leadership gathered vital feedback from staff, parents and students through a series of surveys and community forums.
“This document is a reflection of our collective hopes for the future of Waterford School District,” said Superintendent Adam Martin. “Many community members, employees, parents and students participated and we are grateful for their input, which is instrumental in securing a bright future for the district.”
