Oak Park, MI – The City of Oak Park is seeking residents interested in serving on the following boards and commissions:
• ACDC- Arts and Cultural Diversity Commission
• Beautification
• Building Board of Appeals
• Juneteenth Committee
• Parks & Recreation Commission
• Corridor Improvement Authority
Serving on a board or commission is a great way to get involved, contribute your skills, and help shape the future of Oak Park.
“The success of our city hinges on the hard work and commitment of our board and Commission volunteers who impact the lives of those they serve by improving the quality of life in our city,” said Oak Park Mayor Marian McClellan. “Volunteering brings our community together. It is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in your local community, to meet new people, and to gain a sense of pride and achievement. Volunteering is the ultimate exercise in democracy. You vote in elections once a year, but when you volunteer, you vote every day about the kind of community you want to live in.”
