Hazel Park Schools Launching Strategic Planning Process, Public Info Session Jan 27

Hazel Park, MI – The Hazel Park Board of Education and the Administration are launching a new initiative to guide Hazel Park Schools through a Five-Year Strategic Plan. The purpose of this initiative is to help develop new goals and strategies for continuing to offer an excellent education for our students, while using scarce public education resources in the most effective and efficient way.
The strategic planning process is designed to produce approximately five goals to be accomplished over a three- to five-year period. The plan uses data – along with the feedback of staff, students, and community members – to help create a shared vision for the future that will help make the district an even better place for our students.
Your ideas about the strengths of Hazel Park Schools are very important, as well as your opinions concerning where there is opportunity for removing any barriers to implementation, and other input. Therefore, you are invited to provide input in either of the scheduled face-to-face sessions or electronically. All input must be received by March 1, 2026.
The first in-person session will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2026.
» 1 pm – Student Session – Hazel Park High School
» 3:30 to 4:30 pm – Staff Session – Board Room
» 6 pm – Community Session – Ford Administration Building Board Room
If you’re unable to attend any of these sessions, you can still provide your feedback on several topics that are critical to helping us develop our next strategic plan. Please take the time to fill out this survey – Hazel Park Schools Strategic Plan – on behalf of the Hazel Park School District. The survey will take roughly 10 minutes to complete.
Anonymous individual responses like yours will be combined with those from other stakeholders to provide important community input to the Board of Education and the strategic planning team as it seeks to identify the vision and the means by which to accomplish that vision.
