Ferndale Supervisor of Special Education Presented with Spirit of Detroit Award

Ferndale, MI – Ferndale Schools Supervisor of Special Education Valencia Cade was recently honored with a Spirit of Detroit Award. This honor recognizes her exceptional leadership and unwavering commitment to coordinating the 4th Annual Domestic Violence Awareness Program and Rally, held annually in the City of Detroit.
The award, signed by the Detroit City Council, acknowledges the profound impact of her efforts in bringing the community together around an important cause. This year’s program centered on the theme, “Domestic Violence and the Impact on Youth.”
Ferndale Schools shared the good news with a post on Facebook applauding Cade “for her dedication, advocacy, and courageous leadership in shining a light on this critical issue. Her work continues to inspire meaningful dialogue and drive positive change within our community.”
Cade said “This issue is near and dear to me, and it’s very important that as a community we bring awareness to this cause and work together to end all forms of domestic violence.”
