Nov 15 – 17 – Ferndale Underground Holiday Market
Ferndale, MI – What do you get when you mix a holiday market with Funky Ferndale and a maker show? The Ferndale Underground Holiday Market. It’s a uniquely Ferndale twist on a holiday market held in the basement of the DOT, Ferndale’s parking structure.
“The market has similarities with other holiday markets in that we include art, makers, bakers and more. The difference is that we look for things that are a bit unusual, which includes the venue”, according to market producer Mark Loeb.
“Our goal is to encourage people to choose one-of-a-kind gifts for their loved one”.
The market is part of downtown Ferndale’s annual Jingle and Mingle, including music, art making and surprises.
Kids and adults will enjoy free make-and-take activities, including ornaments and gift items.
In addition to our beautiful artists, the market includes more crafty items like handmade jams and soaps, things that are popular for gift-giving and entertaining. Tasty treats include pies and other baked goods, candies and more.
The event also features younger sellers- Mint Artists Guild offers art gifts by Detroit teens.
