Oakland Thrive Restaurant Quest: Sparkies Kitchen & Bar in Highland Twp

Highland Township, MI – Sparkies Kitchen & Bar is a popular spot in Highland Township for a variety of food and drinks. I stopped by for a carryout lunch that I absolutely loved.
The Arugula & Beet Salad had pecans, beets, goat cheese and honey poppy seed dressing. This was a delightful mix of flavors, including the earthy tastes of beets, nuts, and goat cheese, and the sweetness of the dressing.
The Crispy Chicken Sandwich was an impressive one, made with cheese bacon, ham, lettuce, tomato, and mayo served with a pickle spear and a side of cole slaw. The sandwich was perfectly crispy on the outside, juicy in the middle, with a soft buttery bun.
I also ordered the Pirogi which came topped with braised beef, green onions, and sour cream. Though it was only an appetizer, this dish was a filling option with amazing flavors.
Other menu items include Sparkies famous Cinnamon Yeast Rolls, Reuben Egg Rolls, burgers like the Mushroom Swiss version, and Rice Bowls like the Ahi Tuna Bowl, Crispy Salmon bowl, and Korean BBQ Bowl. Signature dishes include the 1/2 Rack Ribs, Shrimp Tacos, Lobster Mac, and Jambalaya.
There are also desserts like the Peanut Butter Torte and Cranberry Apple Crumb Cake.
