One Dead, Another Wounded As Altercation Leads to Gunfire in Rochester Hills

Rochester Hills, MI – Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a chaotic incident that began in the Fairfield Inn parking lot and culminated in a traffic crash near Rochester Road and South Boulevard. While no one sustained serious injuries in the vehicle collision, two of the at least three individuals involved in the parking lot altercation were shot, and one has died. Three people connected to this incident have now been identified, and we are investigating to see if others were involved. At this time, there is not any ongoing threat to the public. As the investigation progresses, additional details will be released.
