50 Years After Hoffa’s Disappearance, ONTV Revisits Mystery, Lake Orion Connections

Lake Orion, MI – On July 30, 1975 former President of International Brotherhood of Teamsters union Jimmy Hoffa disappeared after showing up for a meeting at Red Fox restaurant in Bloomfield Township. Fifty years later the mystery of his disappearance continues to capture people’s interest.
Orion ONTV put together a video talking about Hoffa’s life, his disappearance and his connections to the Lake Orion Community where he lived. Producer Joe Johnson talked with neighbors about their interactions with Hoffa, and even took a tour of the home on Ray Ct. where the Hoffa family lived. The home was recently sold and is currently under renovation.
One neighbor said she had many conversations with Hoffa without knowing his connections. Teri Toll Stiles told ONTV, “I had no idea the kind of power he had. He was just a normal Lake Orion kind of guy.”
