Pontiac Residents May Qualify for Faucet and Filters to Protect Against Lead

Pontiac, MI – The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has launched a Faucet and Filter Safety Net Program so Pontiac residents may be eligible for free faucet replacement.
The program is set to help prevent residents from consuming lead through their tap water.
This program can provide the following for eligible households:
~ A single faucet replacement
~ Replacement cartridge
~ Lead-reducing filter
~ A home visit and a visual plumbing assessment
~ Assistance applying for the Medicaid Lead Abatement program
