Oakland Thrive Restaurant Quest: 44 Burrito in Lathrup Village

Lathrup Village, MI – 44 Burrito in Lathrup Village is known for their deep-fried burritos, and it was a delight being able to try one on my quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County. A friend and I grabbed some takeout to share. We had the barbacoa burrito made with black beans and deep fried and a side of Spanish rice. Plus a chicken burrito, grilled, made with refried beans and a side of Mex-seasoned fries. The barbacoa was soulfully-seasoned with just a little bit of a kick in a wrap that was crispy on the outside and softer on the inside thanks to the deep-frying process. The grilled burrito also had a nice crisp to it, with ample fillings and flavor. The Mex-seasoned fries were fantastic. Plus the order came with chips and salsa.
Ground beef, steak, veggie, and shrimp burritos are also available.
Not in the mood for a burrito? Then perhaps a burrito bowl, nachos, tacos, or a quesadilla might hit the spot. For a sweet flavored beverage, 44 Burrito serves up Town Club soda pop, and they offer churros for dessert.
