Three Teens Arrested in Pontiac Shooting, Fourth Suspect Sought

Pontiac, MI – Oakland County Sheriff’s Office detectives are asking for the public’s help finding a suspect involved in Tuesday night’s shooting that killed a Pontiac man and injured another man.
Detectives are trying to identify and locate the fourth suspect connected to the shootings. The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said.
“This senseless and tragic violence must stop, and people involved must be held accountable,” Bouchard said. “The remaining suspect involved in the shooting will be caught, so we urge him to turn himself in. We identified and captured the third suspect and are vigorously working on the fourth. If anyone has any information on this missing suspect, they are urged to call 911.
The third suspect, a 17-year-old Pontiac male, was arrested about 4 p.m. today in Pontiac by D- FAT, which includes U.S. Marshals, a member of the Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Apprehension Team and the Directed Patrol Unit. Two males were taken into custody shortly after the shooting. They were to appear in Juvenile Court today at Oakland County Children’s Village.
The shooting that happened Tuesday about 7:45 p.m. near West South Boulevard and Highland Avenue in Pontiac.
Deputies were dispatched on the report of multiple injury shooting. Upon their arrival, deputies located the 18-year-old victim, Omarrel Sahon Ford Jr. He was lying in a vacant field and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to his chest. Deputies began life saving measures. Paramedics from the Waterford Regional Fire Department arrived and took over care. Ford was transported to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
The second shooting victim, a 19-year-old Pontiac man, was taken to the hospital by a citizen. He was taken into surgery and is expected to survive. Deputies identified a third victim, who was not injured. The incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information about the shooting, the identity of the unknown suspect or his location, is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800- SPEAK-UP. Crime Stoppers is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case. Tipsters remain anonymous.

The fourth suspect wanted in connection with
Tuesday night’s shooting that killed a Pontiac man and injured another man is in custody.
The 16-year-old Pontiac youth turned himself into the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Pontiac
substation about 6 p.m. today, about two hours after the third suspect was arrested in Pontiac.
The youth was accompanied by his mother. Both suspects were taken to Oakland County
Children’s Village. Detectives are expected to present the case to prosecutors either Thursday
or Friday.
