EB I-696 Down to One Lane This Weekend for Pavement Marking
(M-DOT, July 9, 2025)
Permanent pavement marking work requires lane and ramp closures for eastbound I-696 from I-275 to Orchard Lake Road this weekend, Saturday through Monday. Expect major delays.
- 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday, July 12 and 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday, July 13, EB I-696 from I-275 to Orchard Lake Road will have one lane open. (All lanes open during overnight hours.)
- 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Saturday, July 12 and 5 a.m. – 9 p.m. Sunday, July 13, the NB I-275 ramp to EB I-696 will be closed. (Ramp will be open during overnight hours.)
- 5 a.m. Saturday, July 12 – 5 a.m. Monday, EB/SB and WB/NB M-5 ramps to EB I-696 will be closed. (Ramps will remain closed for entire weekend.)
