Woman in Waterford Fatally Stabbed, Fiance in Custody

Waterford, MI – On Friday June 13, 2025 at approximately 3:41pm Waterford Police responded to a home on Hackett Street in Waterford Township.
A man called 911 and reported that he had stabbed his fiancé.
Upon arrival Officers encountered the caller, a (25) year old male, as he exited the home and he was taken into custody.
Officers entered the home and found a (33) year old female inside. Waterford Regional Fire also responded to render aid to the victim. She was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The male suspect was transported to Waterford Police Headquarters, booked, and then lodged at the Oakland County jail. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the residence and the scene was processed with the assistance of the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office.
Detectives will continue to gather facts and evidence in this case, all of which will be presented to the Oakland County Prosecutors Office for their review and consideration of criminal charges.
