White Lake Man Dies in Minibike Crash in Pontiac
Pontiac, MI – A White Lake Township man was fatally injured today in Pontiac when the minibike he was operating left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The crash happened about 1:30 p.m. Saturday in the area of North Cass Avenue and Cesar E. Chavez Avenue.
Terrance Dale Fulgenzi, 46, was riding the minibike when it left the roadway for an unknown reason, struck a utility pole, throwing the rider from the minibike.
Fulgenzi was not wearing a helmet. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Witnesses told Oakland County Sheriff’s Office deputies that Fulgenzi and six others were operating minibikes on the roadway while weaving in and out of traffic. Crash investigators said the victim’s minibike was not registered with the Secretary of State or legal to be driven on the road. The incident remains under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Unit.
