Online Survey to Help Guide Downtown Highland Master Plan
(Highland DDA, May 26, 2025)
Highland Township, MI -Downtown Highland seeks public input about the downtown master plan.
A Master Plan is a long-range vision for the future of the community. It provides a framework for making big-picture decisions and can promote and strengthen valued community assets as well as encourage new partnerships and opportunities. In Highland Township, the community-wide master plan was adopted in 2025. Over the past 20 years, the Downtown Development Authority (DDA) has been working on implementing a vision to return Highland Station – the area around Milford and Livingston Roads – to its place as the center of our community and a destination within the region.
In 2007, the DDA developed a unique Master Plan for the downtown area. Today, the DDA is working to update and refine this plan. The updated plan will celebrate achievements and chart a course for the future. Look for opportunities to participate in this planning process and help shape the future for this unique area.
The DDA will develop plan goals/objectives and listen to the community. Participate here in the survey!
