Red Oaks Waterpark Opens June 7
(Oakland County Parks)
Red Oaks Waterpark will open for the 2025 season from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, June 7.
Madison Heights, MI – “We are looking forward to another great summer,” Red Oaks County Park Supervisor Ryan Danescu said. “There’s always a lot of excitement as opening day approaches. We know that guests of all ages enjoy cooling off in the water features and spending time making memories together at the waterpark.”
Red Oaks Waterpark offers something for everyone. A highlight for many is the wave pool, where the waves roll for 10 minutes, then rest for 10 minutes. It is heated, so even if the weather is a bit on the cool side, the water temperature is just right.
Older children and teenagers especially enjoy the triple-flume waterslide while younger children can play all day at SplashTown, a splash pad with 52 interactive water features, including a water play climber with slides and a dumping bucket. Adults often find that floating on a tube down the heated River Ride, a 990-foot-long moving river, to be a relaxing outdoor activity. All ages can enjoy the attractions, but the triple flume waterslide has a 43-inch height requirement.
The waterpark also provides lounge chairs and picnic areas, so guests can relax in the summer sun and keep energy levels up with food and hydrating drinks. While concessions are available on site, patrons are welcome to bring their own food; no glass or alcohol allowed.
As the season gets under way, there will be limited hours of operation and these are subject to change based on weather and attendance levels. Red Oaks Waterpark will be open:
- June 7-8, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
- June 9-13, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
- June 14-15, 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
