The announcement follows a record-breaking 2024 season, which saw free concert attendance double and ticketed events grow by 50%. Organizers say the momentum is only increasing, with a substantial number of first-time attendees at every performance.
“Wildwood has quickly become a regional destination for live entertainment,” said Township Supervisor Chris Barnett. “With our new status as a Certified Independent Venue by the National Independent Venue Association, we’re proud to be officially recognized on a national stage.”
The 2025 season opens on Friday, May 30 with a fundraiser for the Lake Orion Fireworks, headlined by the high-energy tribute act Ladies of the 80’s, delivering music from icons like Stevie Nicks, Pat Benatar, Joan Jett and Blondie.
Free Thursday concerts will begin on June 5, bringing family-friendly entertainment to the stage each week. Weekend performances will round out the schedule with a mix of affordable concerts and community-driven events.
Located just north of I-75 at Exit 83, Wildwood Amphitheater blends natural charm with a professional performance space. Since opening in 2010, it has become a cornerstone of Orion Township’s cultural and recreational offerings.
