OC Restaurant Quest: Villager’s Restaurant in Holly
(Crystal A. Proxmire, May 11, 2025)
Holly, MI – The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County brought me recently to Villager’s Restaurant in Downtown Holly. For decades this family restaurant has served up breakfast, lunch, and dinner favorites.
For my visit I had the “Delight #3” which is a combo with two eggs, a choice of ham or sausage, and a pair of cinnamon roll pancakes, which were amazing. They were just a little bit crispy, with the proper amount of swirled on frosting to not be overwhelming.
I also wanted to try something from their lunch menu, so I got the Honey Butter Chicken Biscuits to go. This was a pair of fresh baked biscuit sandwiches with crispy chicken tenders, American cheese, and honey butter.
Other breakfast options include Country Fried Steak and Eggs, French Toast from the Griddle, and a variety of omelettes like the Mushroom and Swiss, the Porky Pig, and the Low Cholesterol Omelette made with egg whites, diced tomatoes, onions, spinach and feta.
For lunch and dinner there are so many options it’s hard to decide which to feature, but one might enjoy the Julienne Salad with ham, turkey, American, Swiss, tomatoes and hard boiled egg. There’s also Smothered Meatloaf, Taco Salad, Country Fried Chicken, and sandwiches like the Tuna Melt and BLT.
Villagers is located at 112 N. Saginaw Street in Holly. Check them out online at www.villagersrestaurant.com
