Slows Bar BQ Coming to Downtown Berkley
(City of Berkley, April 16, 2025)
Berkley, MI – Detroit’s iconic SLOWS BAR BQ is officially coming to Downtown Berkley—and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome them just in time for their 20th anniversary in business!
Slows has built a legendary reputation for chef-driven BBQ, craft beer, and unforgettable flavors. After years of strong support in the area through food truck visits and catering gigs, they knew Berkley was the perfect next stop. And when the opportunity knocked, they didn’t hesitate to answer.
The new Berkley location, in the previous Berkley Common space, will feature:
–Full-service dining downstairs
–A future patio/parklet on Griffith
–An incredible second-floor space for private events and catering
While the restaurant build-out is underway (opening later this year!), you can still get your BBQ fix. The Slows Food Truck will be rolling into town this summer, and catering is available right now for graduation parties, events, and more—delivered straight from Slows To Go.
With strong roots in the community—co-owner Josh Keillor grew up in Royal Oak and attended Shrine High School alongside fellow co-owners Brian and Terry Perrone—this expansion truly feels like a homecoming.
