OC Restaurant Quest: Big Poppa’s Pizzeria in Holly
(Crystal A. Proxmire, April 9, 2025)
Holly, MI- The quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County continues with a visit to Big Poppa’s Pizzeria in Holly. This recently opened pizza joint features traditional pizza options with thick gooey crust, delectable toppings, and generous helpings of melty mozzarella, as well as a top-notch gluten-free option.
I was lucky enough to attend a meeting where both the traditional and gluten-free options were available, and both were yummy. I also got to try bread sticks served with an amazing cream cheese dipping sauce (or marinara if that’s what you prefer).
I had the supreme, but there are also choices like the chicken bacon ranch pizza, bbq chicken pizza, BLT pizza and more.
Big Poppa’s also serves up subs, like the Italian sub made with pepperoni, salami, ham, onion, mild pepper, tomato and Italian dressing. There’s also the club made with ham, turkey, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato, and mayo.
Salad fans might appreciate the antipasto, Greek, chicken Caesar, or house salad choices.
There is easy online ordering, or stop in to 1010 North Saginaw Street. Check out Big Poppa’s Pizzeria online at https://bigpoppaspizzeria.com/
