OC Restaurant Quest: Oat Soda in Lake Orion

Lake Orion, MI – Oat Soda in Downtown Lake Orion is known for their curated selection of draft beer. With Michigan favorites from brewers like Wolverine State Brewing in Ann Arbor, Short’s in Elk Rapids, Austin Brothers Beer in Alpena, Motor City Brewing Works in Detroit, Blake’s Hard Cider in Armada and more it’s a great place for those who like a cold and frothy adult beverage.
I did not indulge during my visit, but I did enjoy a tasty root beer along with a good meal.
I picked from the Pierogi Corner, opting for the Polish Bowl. This had smoked polish sausage, three potato and cheese pierogies, with bourbon onions, braised purple cabbage and sauerkraut. This was a perfect combination of comfort food for a chilly day.
Oat Soda also offers up a variety of handhelds, including a pastrami Reuben, olive burger, chili cheese burger, and the White Russian burger which is made with grilled onions, pastrami, Guggisberg Swiss cheese, American Cheese and house sauce on grilled marbled rye. They’ve also got pizza and salads, plus a kids menu.
