ONTV: Lake Orion DDA Awards Facade Grants
(ONTV, March 29, 2025)
Lake Orion, MI – The Lake Orion Downtown Development Authority recently visited three local businesses to present them with checks as part of the facade improvement program. Orion Art Center was presented with a $2,000 grant to help offset the cost of replacing the porch on their building. Director Holly Nicosia said the Center wants “to make sure it lasts another 40 years,” and hopes the project will be done by May 17 for the annual Art and Flower Fair.
Irish Tavern recently opened in the space previously occupied by Fork n Pint, and their $2,000 grant will help them make the space feel even more like home. Owner Christopher Forsch said “We’re setting our branding experience so it really helps.”
And the third $2,000 grant was presented to law firm Spresser Ogden who restored a building and moved in back in July 2023. The firm renovated the space, and also made room for a valued community organization The Orion Area Chamber of Commerce.
DDA Director Matt Gibbs told ONTV that the organization is “happy to reinvest these dollars back into the community.”
