Man Kills Woman, Then Self, in Hotel Room
(Auburn Hills Police, March 8, 2025)
Auburn Hills, MI – On Friday, March 7th, 2025, at approximately 10:45 p.m., the Auburn Hills Police Department was dispatched to Holiday Inn Express at 3990 Baldwin Road for a report of a possible domestic violence incident.
Officers arrived on scene and heard two gunshots while in the hallway approaching the room. Officers immediately entered the room and found a 34-year-old white female deceased, a 33-year-old white male deceased, and a 3-year-old white female unharmed.
The preliminary investigation indicates the male shot the female victim and then took his own life. The female was a resident of Saginaw, Michigan, and the male was a resident of Vassar, Michigan. Out of an abundance of caution, the 3-year- old was taken to an area hospital and later released to a family member.
The Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab was called to the scene to assist with the investigation. The Oakland County Medical Examiner’s Office will be performing autopsies on the deceased. Out of respect to the families involved in the tragedy, the names or photographs of the deceased individuals will not be released at this time.
This was an isolated incident between the two deceased individuals, no one else was injured or involved in the altercation. We want to thank the Oakland County Sheriff’s Office Crime Lab and the deputies who responded for their assistance with the investigation.
