(Crystal A. Proxmire, March 5, 2025)
Ferndale, MI – Oakland County Times is on a quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County, thanks to our pals at White Castle. Of course White Castle is our favorite fast food place! But we also enjoy being able to try new things and support local restaurants as we explore our beautiful county.
We’ve done over 500 reviews so far, including 36 in Ferndale.
There is an amazing variety of dining options in Ferndale, including Asian-inspired Tigerlilly, Peruvian style Culantro, Mexican-themed Mezcal, and the Italian street food offerings of Luisa’s. There are longtime community favorites like Howe’s Bayou, Christine’s Cuisine, and New York Bagels. Plus there are delicious choices like Pop’s for Italian, Star of India, Voyager, Coeur, Syndicate and many more. And of course Ferndale is home to the most amazing fast food restaurant – White Castle.
There are still many more to go in Ferndale, but for now check out our list below, and join in the conversation on Facebook to let us know which are your favorites, and which we should feature next!

White Castle – Impossible Burger, Turkey Sliders (seasonal), Valentine’s Day Tradition
Crystal Proxmire is on a quest to try every restaurant in Oakland County. This quest is sponsored by White Castle, in honor of her father who made holidays special with sliders. White Castle is a family-owned business. With steam-grilled sliders, crispy golden fries, fantastic slides like onion chips or mac and cheese nibblers, and the best chocolate shakes, White Castle is a by far our top choice for a fast-food meal. Check out their website at www.WhiteCastle.com.
