OC Restaurant Quest: Boozy’s Bar and Grill in Hazel Park
(Crystal A. Proxmire, March 2, 2025)
Hazel Park, MI – Recently opened in Hazel Park is a fun and thoughtfully designed bar called Boozy’s. Located at 21504 John R, Boozy’s features a beautifully lit marble bar, cozy places to sit, plus a shuffle board and other games. Plus there is food!
A friend and I went to check it out and ordered a few good things to share. We started with spinach artichoke dip with the good kind of pita chips – the ones that are warm and the perfect mix of crunchy edges and soft middles.
Next up was the BBQ Chicken Flatbread with grilled chicken, mozzarella, onions and a delightfully sweet BBQ sauce. We also got an order of smash burger sliders – artfully topped with a skewered tomato and tiny sweet pickles. And the most glorious item of all, Brussel Sprouts with bleu cheese and bacon.
I don’t drink, but my friend had Rolling Rock and assured me that the prices at Boozy’s are good. They also offer mixed drinks and craft cocktails.
Other food options include salads like the Wedge and the Wild Greens, and entrees like Southwest Tacos, Lamb Chops, and Nashville Hot Chicken and Bacon. For dessert one might enjoy the baked brownie with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce, the three layer carrot cake or skillet chipper. Check out the full menu and more at www.boozys.com.
